Dear Storytelling lovers,
Hello storytelling community, I have news! I have started a Patreon account This Patreon account allows us to work together in building more stories and storytelling. Over the years we have built this storytelling community together through regular independent shows in Jordan, festival participations locally and regionally, and online together. For a story to come to you, it takes hours of reading, researching, rewriting and production and then finally performance and publishing. Despite the challenges COVID presented I have been able to maintain my practice and support the community through online performances and the production of videos and audio recordings. It has been wonderful to stay in connection with all of you and to even build a new audience online, however, it has also meant that the pandemic has denied us live face to face which has meant less time in storytelling, in community, and a loss of income.
But we can shift this together. A strong membership base within Patreon will support the continued production and performance of new and engaging stories for you and your loved ones, and make them accessible to others, by creating online content and doing tours.
Your contribution means that our community continues to grow and deepen its roots in our Levantine heritage and that storytelling as an art and a practice is supported and appreciated. That you have free access to an archive of stories online for children and adults in Arabic (and soon to be in English too). So, please consider making a contribution – every little bit helps and will go a long way to keeping storytelling independent and sustainable.
